Bugs2Butterflies Youth Club was set up in 2012 but had been running before

that under other names. We want to provide recreational, educational and

leisure opportunities to children and young people aged 5 – 16 years, living

primarily in the Revoe area of Blackpool.

Julie and Colin Bascombe formed the club in direct response to community

needs and concerns of anti social behaviour.

We passionately believe that in inspiring children to share, play, work together

and experience the wider outside world and a “better way” that we will reduce

crime and give the area’s children chance to develop skills and capability to be

good citizens and mature in to responsible adults. Through inspiring children

in this way we believe we make a real difference and reduce crime and anti

social behaviour.

Since starting, B2B has gone from strength to strength and we now hold events

thee nights a week in term time as well as an extensive schedule including

exciting trips and innovative visits.

In the school holidays we have held events around the community including

very successful events held up to three nights a week on Revoe Park supported

by National Lottery funding. These events have been attended by hundreds of

local children.

B2B is run three nights a week and meets at the Seasiders Bar at Blackpool FC on Bloom eld Rd.

B2B is run by volunteers and Julie and Colin ensure that all meetings are appropriately managed for all our participants fun.

We are a registered charity and have a dedicated group of Trustees who oversee our work and support us in fundraising, future planning and ensuring the club runs successfully.

All our volunteers are DBS checked and we ensure we have appropriate policies and practices in place for the safety and enjoyment of children attending and of our volunteers.

We have passion and drive to grow the club and continue to help the children in our community.

Club nights give children and young people chance to play, work with crafts,

catch up with friends and see visitors we have organised to come in.

B2B meets on Monday (6-8pm), Wednesday (5-7pm) and Friday (6-8pm) for

Club Night. We keep prices as low as we can to ensure as many children as

possible can attend.

Current costs Monday and Wednesday £2 and Friday £1
